Michelle / by Jerry Harvey Audio

Michelle

Michelle, the fifth Universal In-Ear Monitor in the SIREN SERIES line, is born from Jerry Harvey's over 20 years of experence designing Custom IEM's that have become the choice of the biggest touring artists in the world. These are the very people who create the music that we all listen to every day.

Three years ago Jerry Harvey Audio and Astell&Kern joined forces and together created some of the most highly reviewed High-End universal IEM's in the world the Layla and Roxanne.

The Michelle represents another collaboration to provide a more affordable version for all music lovers. Performance at this high a level has never before been available at such a affordable price.

Michelle features Jerry Harvey Audio's patented FreqPhase technology, three specially designed Balanced Armature Drivers for full dynamic range, newly designed ergonomically shaped 3D printed shells, and Silver Tinsel cable are all part of this affordable but powerful package.
The result is, "Michelle" another great collaboration between Jerry Harvey Audio and Astell&Kern, These two renowned companies continue to lead the industry and now bring their highest end performance to a unprecedented affordable price for music lovers all over the world.

The fifth in the Siren Series, Michelle, derives its name from the Guns N' Roses song 'My Michelle'.
'My Michelle' was featured in Guns N Roses debut studio album, 'Appetite for Destruction', in dedication to the lead guitarist Slash's friend Michelle Young. Michelle had always wanted someone to write a song that contained her story. 'My Michelle' represents Michelle's life in its entirety, from her drug addiction to her mother's death, and even her father's time in the adult entertainment business.
In his autobiography, Slash explains how Michelle abandoned her old life and successfully started a new life after the release of the song.

THE SIREN SERIES

Jerry Harvey Audio has developed a whole new Balanced Armature Driver to offer reference quality IEMs for mastering and mixing works. The high-range drivers are designed to deliver everything with minimum distortion, the ultimate mid driver offers perfect, flat sound from 10Hz to 5kHz.
The bass driver was designed for an even steeper low-pass effect with no distortion.

Freqphase™ Time | Phase Waveguide

Most Multiple Driver IEM's suffer from phase and timing issues. Low, Mid, and High drivers all have different impulse times. The higher it is, the faster the impulse time of the BA Driver. The lower it is, the slower the response speed. This causes improper arrival times and Phase shifts.

The "Michelle" applies Jerry Harvey Audio's patented "Freqphase" technology, which uses precisely cut tube lengths for each driver to minimize the phase shift of each frequency. This allows for the High, Mid, and Low drivers to be aligned to 1/100ms for the most ideal phase curve. It ensures the correct time alignment and phase of all drivers resulting the most accurate music reproduction in the industry.

Astell & Kern AK T1p / Beyerdynamic-Astell&Kern Special Edition

Beyerdynamic + Astell&Kern

Beyerdynamic’s top-of-the line T1 model returns with a new and improved tesla driver and lowered ohm impedance in collaboration with Astell&Kern. AK T1p provides distinguishing sound and mobile flexibility in comparison with the AK T5p, the first collaboration closed back headphone between the two companies but also beyerdynamic’s 600ohm open back T1 headphone. Users can experience impressive, spacious sound, detachable cables and luxury grade surface finish with Astell&Kern’s portable players.

An additional 2.5mm balanced cable for Astell&Kern portable audio devices is included with a 3.5 mm audiophile grade cable. Just like all of beyerdynamic’s headphones, the AK T1p is handmade in Germany with the greatest attention to detail.

About Beyerdynamic

Established 90 years ago, 1924, in Berlin, Germany by Eugen Beyer, Beyerdynamic is the essence of audio technology. Beyerdynamic is the leading audio equipment worthy of its name that has developed controller-mounted wireless conference system starting with the world’s first dynamic headphone--the DT 48, which is available even today. As the inheritor of the Eugen Beyer brand, Beyerdynamic maintains the leading corporate image, vision and role put in place by the founder. The technological advancements, continuous innovation and the world’s best quality have made Beyerdynamic the undisputed industry-standard and sound technology market leader.

Ideal for high-resolution playback

With its open design, the AK T1p is particularly capable when it comes to reproducing the full musical wealth offered by high-resolution audio files. Instruments and voices separate from the headphones and create a virtual soundstage. No closed headphones can achieve such levels of transparency and airiness.

Owners of one of Astell & Kern's high-end players can connect the AK T1p directly to the symmetrical output of their portable device using the supplied cable with its 2.5 mm jack plug. As a result, the lead has virtually no impact on the sound, thus allowing listeners to enjoy studio masters with 24-bit resolution or high-res files in DSD format in their full, pure glory – just as the sound engineer in the studio intended. It goes without saying that a standard 3.5 mm jack cable is supplied for all other players.

Astell & Kern AK T8iE Mk II / Beyerdynamic-Astell&Kern Special Edition

Beyerdynamic + Astell&Kern

The AK T8iE MkⅡ succeeds and improves on the AK T8iE, the world’s first Tesla in-ear headphone, collaboratively developed by Astell&Kern and beyerdynamic. The new flagship model promises truly outstanding sound and exceptional build quality.

The AK T8iE MkⅡ has high-grade silver-plated fiber cables with coaxial construction, an upgrade from copper cables. It also introduces a new voice-coil, drawing on all of the audio excellence beyerdynamic has pioneered since 1924. Despite its small size, the AK T8iE MkⅡ allows users to experience an extremely wide frequency range, with crisp bass, well-balanced mids and crystal-clear highs.
Like its predecessor, the AK T8iE MkⅡ, is hand-made by highly skilled engineers in Germany. Combining Astell&Kern's philosophy of "providing the original sound" with the expertise of beyerdynamic, the AK T8iE MkⅡ sets a new benchmark.

Tesla Technology inside AKT8iE

The Tesla Technology inside AK T8iE stands for a superb listening experience.
First emerged in 2009 with the reference headphones the T1 and later the AK T5p, the Tesla in-ear is dramatically miniaturized with the same characteristics of its bigger siblings. An extremely high magnetic flux density within a ring magnet ensures a balanced, undistorted, transparent and neutral sound reproduction.

Sounds like an integrated whole

In comparison to other earphones with Balanced Armature(BA) technology, there is no separate transducer for bass, mid-range or treble tones. This avoids phase problems and the losses of sound quality that results from this. From deep bass to the highest trebles, the AK T8iE sounds like an integrated whole. Additionally, the efficiency of the Tesla transducer is so high that it can easily be matched to a 4-way BA system.

Anatomically shaped for pefect fit

The concha design with the cable running rearwards over the ear has several advantages. The in-ears are easily inserted, and don’t fall out because the cable doesn’t pull. The oval-shaped concha moulds sit very comfortably in the auricle without any pressure. Therefore a variety of ear canals of people from around the world were measured. On top of that five different sizes of anatomically shaped silicone tips and three pairs of Comply™ foam eartips ensure the perfect ear for every ear.

The third offering in the “Siren Series” is aptly named after the Rolling Stones song “Angie”. Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and recorded in November and December 1972, "Angie" is an acoustic-guitar-driven ballad, which tells of the end of a romance.

Richards, who wrote almost all the music and lyrics for the song, claimed in his autobiography that the name Angie was a pseudonym for heroin, and that the song was about his attempt to quit using it while detoxing in Switzerland.

Astell & Kern AKR03 / Special Edition of Roxanne for Astell & Kern

Astell & Kern AKR02 / By Final

Astell&Kern once again partners with the audio masters at Final Audio Design!

Tuned dozens of times by the audio experts at Final Audio Design, the Balanced Armature (BA) driver used in the AKR02 is the same unit found in their BA-SS earphones which gives a deep and rich sound.

Balancing Air Movement

With Final Audio Design’s proprietary BAM technology, the depth and three-dimensional sense of space of the audio can be conveyed. The principles of Dynamic Drivers, combined with the characteristics of Balanced Armature drivers represents the exquisite technique of the Balancing Air Movement (BAM).

To resolve the aforementioned characteristics of BA unit earphones, there are many multi-BA unit earphones available in the market.

Most suffer from crossover and size issues. FAD’s BAM resolved the crossover and size issues with its own patented technology, so called ‘Balanced Air Movement (BAM)’.

Removable oxygen-free copper cable and connectors

BAM technology maximizes its benefits by matching it with Oxygen-free Copper cables.

Since the cables of AKR02 are detachable, it's easy to replace the cable if needed.

To overcome the limits of balanced armature driver, such as lack of hearing low-pitched tone, or getting tired easily from continuous listening, BAM (Balancing Air Movement) technology has been used in the AKR01.

The BAM mechanism, available only from Final Audio Design, controls the internal air flow and prevents sound leakage to create natural sound and 3-dimensional space when listening.

Flat Cable to Suppress the Touch Noise

Available in many of the premium earphones, the original flat cable is provided with the AKR01 to suppress the touch noise and to get rid of the uncomfortable tangling of the cables.

The special and careful design of the earphone housing and the cable connection prevents the common disconnection of the earphones during usage.
